Interview with Founder of One Million Vet March: We will NEVER Forget!

We Are The Salt conducted a telephone interview this morning with Larry Ward, political director for special operations groups in Washington D.C.

Larry is responsible for organizing and implementing yesterdays "One Million Vet March" on Washington. The following is our conversation.

Larry, how did this all begin? Who contacted you?
I was initially contacted by the group "Special Operations Speaks" to help build the action committee to oppose the leaks of the Bin laden raid. When Navy Seal Team 6 was named as the team that got Bin laden they were outraged. They operate in the shadows, they didn't want to be known. This leak put their lives at risk. Then when the 2012 Benghazi attack occurred this group began leading the charge on getting the select committee for the congressional investigation.

"Special Operations Speaks"? Who are they?
The group is made up of Green Berets, Navy Seals and more, you wouldn't believe it. 1000 special op veterans put their name, rank and serial number on the petition to demand a select committee for Benghazi. It's landmark. Nothing like this has ever happened before. This past August we unrolled a 60x4 foot scroll - the longest petition ever delivered to the White House.

Larry, what was the atmosphere like yesterday, during the One Million Vet march?
Electric. The veterans were peaceful, they were there to make a strong point. When the vets spontaneously tore down the memorial barricades, they neatly stacked them like the trash that they are in front of the White House. It was very emotional, and I announced that "now we need to take down the barricades from the Vietnam memorial and the Lincoln memorial and storm the White House," and they did. Park Police were shouting and threatening the assembled veterans, but I have sympathy for them. They don't typically "guard" memorials, that's not their job.

Is there anything else you'd like to add, Larry?
YES. The media and the government keep changing topic to distract the public from the Benghazi attack. "Special Operations Speaks" want them to know it will NEVER be forgotten and they will NEVER desist in demanding answers.

I'd like to note that in the course of my phone interview with Larry - we were disconnected THREE times. We had no doubts in our minds that it was the NSA.
