Newtown Shooting Survivors Attend School Protected by Armed Law Enforcement

According to a CBS News report, Sandy Hook elementary school students who have begun attending classes in a new location are under police protection:
"With their original school still being treated as a crime scene, the more than 400 students are attending classes at a refurbished school in the neighboring town of Monroe. Law enforcement officers have been guarding the new school, and by the reckoning of police, it is "the safest school in America." Source CBS News: shooting-survivors-go-back-to-school
Why is the new school being called the "safest school in America?" The answer of course is because police are not only well educated and trained - they are armed. This brings to mind the "National School Shield" plan which NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre outlined to protect our children - manned by trained, experienced armed guards. Visit "The National School Shield" Website here: http://www.nraschoolshield.com/ LaPierre was blasted by the liberal media for presenting this plan. For example:
"NBC host David Gregory mocked LaPierre's armed guard proposal for schools apparently forgetting that, as the Weekly Standard's Daniel Halper reported, his kids attend Sidwell Friends in Georgetown with the Obama girls, an exclusive school whose security staff numbers 11." A collectively heartbroken Nation asks tough questions in order to find solutions. We know our society is broken. Violence, self gratification and hedonism reign supreme.  I am American but first and foremost I am Catholic - and as such a defender of both life and liberty. I'm not a gun lover - but I love children and I want to see them protected and defended if they need it -  by well trained professionals. A plan like the one outlined by the NRA is now being utilized - and is providing "the safest school in America." Perhaps the answer is right in front of us.
